CHMD 4501 Research and Innovation I 1/2024
By the end of the course, students will be able to
- Become critical thinkers with the ability to appraise a wide range of evidence
- Become active problem solvers with the ability to apply knowledge/research findings to research contexts
- Become familiar with independent enquiry
- Use and evaluate the scientific literature; in particular to perform relevant literature searches and be able to synthesise and summarise research findings
- Design a research project and develop appropriate research questions
- Gain a deeper theoretical knowledge of their chosen field of study
- Understand the range of methodologies and methods that could be deployed in the research plan, and justifying their chosen approach
- Develop skills in research design and apply that to their own project
- Be able to assess risk and have knowledge/experience of the ethical approval processes
- Be exposed to cutting-edge science and research in Thailand or the United Kingdom
